Leroy Sims

We got to know Leroy and Linda during the final leg of their journey at the transplant clinic in Durham. To say they were God's light during a dark time would be duck and understatement. Always quick with a smile and an encouraging word they were full of such joy. We are forever grateful to God that they are part of our lives. I had the pleasure of meeting the Sims family during their stays at Homewood Suites. The entire family was so gracious and warm. We will miss you all. Mr. Sims is resting from his labor now. It was clear, that he left a beautiful legacy on this side for all who knew him to aspire to. Thank you for allowing us serve you during the time. You will always be considered extended family. As a member of SCSU Class of 1974,I am sorry to hear of the passing of our classmate, Leroy. Our class is close and we had Lots of fun in Orangeburg from 1970-74. My condolences to the family. Beryle

Leroy, brother-in-law and our family member it is so difficult to accept that you are gone! You were truly a great man who knew the Lord,your wife and family. I will always remember how well you helped care for me during my illness, and those countless nights and days that you and my sister tirelessly prayed for me to get through it.Your presence is now with the our lord and savior. I worked with Leroy for several years at swift transportation if anyone had questions about trucking just ask Leroy he alway's had a smile on his face he'll be missed sorry for your loss Lady'D

Leroy had a bright captivating smile. He lit up a room with his laughter and love. At family gatherings he was an absolute joy to be around. He will be missed by all.
