Larry Anthony “Amp” Irby Was born on October 22, 1975 to Senior Chief Marshall and Rosena Irby in Portsmouth, Virginia. He was educated in Spartanburg County Schools, was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and attended Morris College. “Amp” was employed at Marshall Irby Heating & Air Conditioning.
Amp was extremely intelligent, passionate, witty, an avid writer, and could bring a smile to anyone's day.
He left to cherish fond memories to his parents Senior Chief Marshall and Rosena Irby, his son Lacquan A. Irby of Spartanburg, South Carolina, his baby girl Jacquanna Crawford, his siblings Marshall E. Irby (Angela) of Williamsburg, Virginia, his sister Falecia I. Cross (Rodrick) and brother Sirrun Jackson of Spartanburg, South Carolina. His nephews Marshall E. Irby, Jr (Frances), Jayden Coleman & Brookes Dinkins-Jackson & Cameron Cross, nieces Amber Bennett (Javoris),Sarai A. Rice, Samiya Allen and Caylie Cross, his great nephew Jacobi Bennett and his granddaughters Ty’Nia Hall and Ja’Nyla Davidson
On Tuesday, July 2, 2024 Larry Anthony “Amp” Irby transitioned at Spartanburg Medical Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC.
