Mrs. Janice Garrett Brown, daughter of the late William and Bessie Garrett was born January 26, 1961.
She peacefully entered eternal rest surrounded by family at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Center on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
At an early age, Janice was baptized at Harrison Grove Baptist Church. She received her primary and secondary education in the Spartanburg District 7 school system and served in the food industry for numerous years in multiple capacities. She loved old school music! Some of her favorite past-times were hosting parties, cooking for family and friends, and just having a good time. Her laughter was both healing and absolutely contagious. Janice had a way of empowering everyone she met through her advice. She was known for her honesty, saying what was on her mind and living her truth. She loved her kids and grandkids immensely while being a mother to so many who needed nurturing and support. She prided herself on treating people the way she wanted to be treated and would give her last to a stranger.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; Mr. William Mack Garrett and Mrs. Bessie Lee Garrett, brothers; Mr. James E. Garrett and Mr. Michael Garrett.
