James C. "Tee" Ferguson, Sr.AHOSKIE, NC-- James C. "Tee" Ferguson, Sr., 60, passed Friday, October 7, 2011. "Tee" was born November 3, 1950, in Spartanburg County. He was the son of the late Andrew E. and Mary Rhodes Ferguson. "Tee" was reared by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Nettie Sue Foster Rhodes.Ferguson was a graduate of Wofford College and the University of South Carolina School of Law.Ferguson was a former South Carolina State Legislator and a former South Carolina Circuit Court Judge. He was co-owner of MedCare Equipment and Supplies, LLC, of Ahoskie, NC.Hertford County, NC lost a true soldier. Ferguson was an advocate of improving life and creating business opportunities for his community.Ferguson is survived by his loving family: his devoted life partner, Paulette Watson; his children, Tara L. Meadors, James Cleveland "Tee" Ferguson, Jr. and Stinson Woodward Ferguson, Esquire; his grandchildren, James Cleveland Ferguson, III, Jalen M. Meadors, Damihje J. Ferguson, and Jordan W. Ferguson; his brother, Marshall L. (Ria) Ferguson; his sisters, Jessie Pearl Ferguson, Beatrice F. (John) Lyles and Rev. Sylvia Ann Ferguson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; four special people (they called him granddaddy), Sergio, Anthony, Quan and Kameron; colleagues; friends of Ahoskie, NC and Spartanburg, SC.Ferguson was predeceased by: siblings, Willie Lee Ferguson and Margaret Rhodes; and his aunt and uncle, Corrie and Scott Wofford.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at 3:00 pm at the John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel.
