Hollis Holcombe, Sr. entered into eternal rest on January 6, 2021. He was born in Inman, SC on July 10, 1944 to the late Elbert Holcombe and Josie Bobo Holcombe. Mr. Holcombe was the husband of Mary McClain Holcombe for fifty-five years.
Mr. Holcombe graduated from Bethune HIgh School, Class of 1964 in Inman, SC.
He was a member of Harvest House in Spartanburg, SC.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his children, Ann Waddell of Spartanburg, Sc and Hollis Holcombe, Jr. (Michelle) of Simpsonville, SC; his siblings, Faye Wallace (Ray) of Spartanburg, SC, Matt Lindsay of Inman, SC, Eunell Suber (Raymond) of Spartanburg, SC, Albert Holcombe of Inman, SCand Bobby Holcombe of Houston, TX; his four grandchildren; his five great-grandchildren; and a host of dear family members and friends.
A Celebration of the Life of Hollis Holcombe, Sr. will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Burial will be in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1451 Compton Bridge Rd., Inman, SC.
