Obituary For Charlene Woodruff

Mrs. Charlene Nesbitt Woodruff Daughter of Louise Nesbitt Miller and the late Herman Nesbitt was born in Spartanburg County, SC on May 3rd, 1953. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 30th, 2024.

She accepted Christ at a young age and continued her Christian journey, serving and faithfully lending her voice on the choir at Greater St. James Temple Holiness Church of the P.A.W. along with serving on the Pastor’s aide, usher board, and kitchen committee. She was a graduate of James F. Byrnes High School Class of 1972 and Cornerstone Christian Kingdom Academy. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Kenneth Woodruff on December 21, 1969.

She was employed in the textile industry for many years and transitioned to the medical field and worked diligently for the past 30 years lending the majority of her time to Mountainview Nursing Home.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: her husband, Kenneth Woodruff of the home; children, Cassandra Brown of Anderson, SC, Kenneth Allen Woodruff of Wellford, SC, Juanica Hollis (BJ) of Spartanburg, SC; one brother, Marvin P. Nesbitt; sister, Gail Lyles both of Spartanburg, SC; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren;and a host of nieces and nephews; godsisters and godbrothers, The Davis Family; special friends, Carolyn Moore, Gladys Young, Judy McClurkin, Neva Landrum, Linda Hines, Diane Jackson; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A Celebration of the Life for Charlene Nesbitt Woodruff will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Greater St. James Temple, 13255 Asheville Hwy., Inman, SC. Burial will be in the Upper Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Wellford, SC. Livestream will be available via Facebook on the TEEFERGUSONREPORT.
