Ms. April Laverne DownsSPARTANBURG, SC-- Ms. April Laverne Downs, of 5384 Reidville Road, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. April was born on May 1, 1967, in Spartanburg, SC. She was the youngest daughter of Mr. Azon Downs, Jr. and Mrs. Talmadge McJimpsey Downs.April was a 1985 graduate of Spartanburg High School. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was a twelve-year employee of BMW.Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Azon Downs, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC; two sisters, Charlotte Coleman of Wellford, SC and Natalie B. Meadows of Spartanburg, SC; two beautiful nieces, Sierra Sade Meadows and Alexus B. Meadows both of Spartanburg, SC; and a loving companion, Michael Grayson.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 12:00 noon at the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Bishop Charles J. J. Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, December 26, 2012, at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM.The family is at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Azon Downs, Jr., at 107 Woodride Ct., Spartanburg, SC.J. I worked with April @ BMW. She was a delightful lady, working together on the doorline, I can still hear her singing. I think she knew everyword to just about any song you could name off. My husband also worked with her in hall 50. She will be missed.
April is truly missed, I worked with April at BMW and she was all smiles and truly loved her family and friends. I will miss her singing and keeping everyone going there was never a dull moment, April is missed I Luv U Girl, but God loved you best I know you are safe in his arms.
My prayer is that God comfort and encourage the Down family at this time of bereavement. April was a very sweet and giving person. I enjoyed working with her @BMW on the Z-4 line back in 2002. She was a blessing to so many. She will be missed.

I worked with April at BMW on the X3 doorline for a couple of months. She made me laugh. So sorry, this is such a shock. May God help you through this tough time.

April was always humming and singing a song... I worked with her for about two years at BMW. She was always helpful and insightful to everyone. Everyone knew April. May she rest in peace and God keep her family, as well as friends!
