Annie Lee Hollis Samuel, 81, of Spartanburg, SC took her eternal rest peacefully on June 10, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 2, 1943, to Joesph W. Hollis, Sr., and Elizabeth Benson Hollis.
Annie was employed at Goodwill Industries for a long period until she obtained her real estate license and gained employment at Reams Realty and later at
Southers Real Estate as a Real Estate agent, where she then retired.
Annie was born and raised in the United House of Prayer for All People, where she served faithfully as the Assistant Secretary (Honorary), president of the
Cunningham Adult Ushers, and a Sunday School teacher.
Annie was preceded in death by her three brothers, Emmanuel, Willie James Sr., and Joseph, Jr., and her two sisters, Alice Ann Hollis and Carolyn Hollis Dendy.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 55 years, Mr. Scottie Samuel, daughter, Dr. Shalonda S. Young (Elder Daniel), a niece reared in the home, Shaklia D. Moore (Joe). Three sisters, Blanche Boone (David), Virginia Rose Kershaw (Ezell), and Mary Scruggs (Horace). Four grandchildren Demond and Destini Young, Joe IV (Duke) and Jaida Moore. Two step-grandchildren, Chanel Young and Emajheβ Graves. Two goddaughters, FuKayna Willie and Cynthia Hector and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Viewing of the body will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11:00 p.m. at The United House of Prayer for All People, 660 S. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC. Funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m.
