Obituary For Connie Elizabeth Maultsby

Connie Elizabeth Maultsby, age 72, born and reared in Sarasota, Florida, transitioned quietly in the presence of her family on November 28, 2023. For more than 40 years, Connie’s Kapp Production DJ & Sound Service was known to be one of the best entertainment groups in the City of Sarasota. Her most recent venture, Crime Prevention Central Inc. organization, centered around supporting teens to build their self-esteem and improve their behaviors.

Although Connie was preceded in death by her biological father, Lewis Maultsby, Stepfather, Adair J. Ford, Aunt, Dorothy Marshall, and favorite Uncle, Donald Thomas, there are many loved ones to treasure fond memories of her: a loving mother, Florence E. Ford, brother, Carl E. Maultsby, sister, Sherrina Y. Ford of Tampa, FL., two step-sisters, Angela Maultsby of Tampa, FL., Tina Maultsby of Tallevast, FL., two nephews, Duane Maultsby, Samuel L. Wright, Jr. of Tampa, FL., niece, Samaria E. Wright of Tampa, FL., Aunt, Novella Thomas of Miami, FL., special cousin, Jerry L. Marshall of Tampa, FL., dear friends, Natasha Milhouse, Cliffus Weston, Sandy Trieb, Roland Spencer Bryant, and Bashar Itraish of Sarasota, FL., Kapp Productions Family (Nasty Boyz & Kapp League), and a host of other cousins, relatives, and sorrowing friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1680 18th Street, Sarasota, FL., 34234. Homegoing Services will be held the following morning at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.

Connie, called me when my mom died (Julie) her mom and Julia were good friends, Connie told me about how my mom help take care of her when she got in that bad accident years ago, actually Connie was the one who told me about the birds and bees because my mom couldn't do it.
