Carolyn Denise Williams, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, was called to glory on December 8, 2024. Born & raised in Sarasota, Fl, on November 1, 1951, she was the oldest of six children born to Lorenzo & Willie Bell Williams.
Carolyn Graduated from Sarasota High school in 1969. After high school , she received her Associates Degree from Manatee Community College in Nursing and later graduated from the University of South Florida.
Carolyn spent her lifetime in service. She worked as a Child Protective Office, a Social Worker & also as a Youth Career Counselor. As you can see, service to her community was how she gave back to others. She helped many people in the community by giving great advice for their career paths and helped several others get into college. Carolyn was extremely creative & artistic. She loved making floral arrangements, centerpieces & more for anyone who asked. Her eye for beauty & creative ability was unmatched!
On December 8, 2024, our Lord & Savior decided to call her home. Preceding her in death were Her parents Lorenzo & Willie Bell Williams; Her son Aaron McKnight Sr; Two sisters; Gayle Williams & Sheila Campbell and 1 brother Alvin Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her grandchildren: Erin McKnight & Aaron McKnight Jr; two brothers, Lorenzo Williams Jr (Shirley), Willie Williams; 1 sister Patricia Wideman; 1 great grandson Tyrell Covington, Jr, 8 nieces, & 6 nephews and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Fri., Dec. 13, 2024 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 11:00am on Sat., Dec. 14, 2024 at Bethlehem Bible Church in Sarasota, Florida. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
