Mrs. Jo Ann Lewis

Dearest Cousins Angela and Jamia,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Aunt Jo Ann. I hold in my heart fund memories of our childhood hood visits to each other's home where would laugh and play. Aunt Jo was very sweet to us during those visits. Likewise, until last year, Aunt Jo would send me a birthday card as we shared the same birth month. I still have many of those cards 😇.

Cousins, as you go through difficult journey, I want to remind you of this scripture:

Psalm 121:will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

I just did not want to believe it, when I heard the news of Jo Ann Lewis' passing. Although I can't claim a real closeness, we both attended New Covenant Church in Albany, GA together, and I fell in love with her spirit (God's spirit within her) from day one. And what a strikingly Beautiful woman she was!!! Inside and Out. I pray that her daughters will be comforted by the Great Comforter and Father of Peace. To the family losing a loved one is heartbreaking but we must always remember that they are no longer suffering. It doesn't make it any easier for us that's left behind but we will always have the memories and know that they loved us. Sending prayers and hugs your way. I am so sorry for your loss 🩷💜. I do not know where to start 😕. Mrs. Lewis was a mother figure to me and so many others along the way. To Angie and Mia thank you for sharing her with me. She was truly a FAITHFUL servant.
