Obituary For Minnie Faye Davis

TYLER---Celebration of Life for Sis. Minnie Faye Davis, 93, of Tyler, Texas will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 11 am in the sanctuary of Dale Chapel Baptist with Pastor Marcus Jackson officiating and Pastor Marshall Johnson, eulogist. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.

Sister Davis was born on March 29, 1930 in Bethany, Louisiana to the late Bryant and Ella Mae Buckingham Williams. She transitioned on March 30, 2023.

Sister Davis graduated from Arp Industrial School and she worked in the school system in the Cafeteria making sure students had healthy meals to eat at their lunch hour.

Sister Minnie was a faithful member of Dale Chapel Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess. She was a member of the Adult Choir and Mission Department . She also served as Youth Director.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, three granchildren, one great grandchild, four sisters and three brothers. Left to cherish her most precious memories are her son: Rayford (Maxine) Davis; daughters: Frankie (Terry) Stanley, Dr. Carolyn Harvey, Patricia (Gary) Newman, Sherry (Gregg) Seaton Sr. all of Tyler, Texas; fourteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, twelve great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends with whom she shared a special bond.

Public viewing will be on Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
