Obituary For Abe Phillips

(April 7, 1940--January 31, 2023)

WINONA--Funeral services for Mr. Abe Phillips, 82, will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at noon at Mt. Zion CME Church in Kilgore with Rev. Perfice Atkins, eulogist. Burial will follow under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.

Mr. Phillips was born on April 7, 1940 and transitioned on January 21, 2023. He was a life resident of Smith County and a member of Mt. Zion C.M.E. Church and a retired truck driver.

Mr. Phillps was preceded in death by his wife: Mae Joyce Phillips. Parents: Willie Mack and Willie Mae King Phillips; Daughter: Linda Williams, Six Brothers and Four Sister.

He is survived by three sons: Terry (Reanauta )Phllips of Whitehouse, Willie Earl Phillips of Winona, Robert ( Diana) Phillips of Tyler, Four daughters:Dianne (Willie) Hicks and Merian Chimney, Willie Mae Phillips , all of Winona and Elizabeth Thomas of Desoto, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
