Obituary For Anthony D. Wilson

Anthony D. Wilson, lovingly known as Little Ant, the son of Anthony Woodberry Jr. and Annletha Wilson, was born on January 19, 1982, in Youngstown OH. With a heart as big as his generous smile, he filled the world with warmth and joy. On October 9, 2024, surrounded by the warmth and love his family, he triumphantly entered into eternity.

A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Anthony had a perchance for electronics and continued his studies obtaining an associate degree in computer science from ITT Technical Institute.

A man of simple pleasures, Anthony was known for his culinary prowess and love for seafood, especially crab legs. Anthony knew his way around the kitchen and the grill where these delectable creations became his love language. A connoisseur of music, with a heart for 90's R&B and hip hop, and nimble fingers in video games, Anthony made his presence known with his laid-back approach. With a profound love for fishing and an unwavering allegiance to the Detroit Lions, his zest for life resonated in everything he did.

A leader hidden in humility, Anthony inspired and uplifted all those around him. He had an abiding faith in God and was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. Despite his health challenges, Anthony refused to allow those conditions to define or constrain him from living a fulfilled life.

Anthony took pride in his service while employed at Indalex Aluminum Solutions. His love for his soulmate, the former Brookes Johnson, and family was immeasurable which held a special place in his heart.

Anthony's love for his family was profound which was reflected in his infectious laughter and welcoming arms of embrace. Among those who will mourn his physical absence yet carry his spirit in their hearts, his beloved wife and soul mate, Brookes Wilson, whom he married July 16, 2022. Together, they shared a bond that transcended time and space.

With an ornate tapestry of love and fond remembrances, Anthony’s memory will linger like a soothing love song in the hearts of his parents Anthony and Rev. Robin Woodberry; mother-in-love, Barbara Howard, and father-in-love, Bobby Johnson.

Anthony's journey through life was one filled with kindness, humility, and an unwavering devotion to his family and home. This legacy will remain vibrant through his loving daughters Aliyse Stokes and Autumn Stokes.

Cherished memories will be embraced by his siblings LaKleesha Harris, Shana (Myke) Smith, Jeremy Woodberry, and Aaron Woodberry, while the essence of Anthony will lovingly reside in the hearts of his grandparents Deacon Robert Thornton and Rev. Gena Thornton. Never to be forgotten, Anthony leaves a colossal score of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who share the honor of knowing him.

As Anthony crossed the celestial sands into eternity, he was welcomed by the ancestors which include his beloved mother, Annletha Wilson, brother Jacob Woodberry, grandmothers Annie Wilson and Catherine Williams, grandfathers Wofford "Pete" Wilson and Early "Jabo" Woodberry, all who predeceased him.

As we bid farewell to a husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, let us remember Anthony Wilson not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the joy and hope he brought into our lives and the love he shared unconditionally.
