Mr Donaghey (Don) Ingram passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, in Alexandria, Scotland.
Don was born on 2/20/1950 in Ft Campbell, KY. Don was a small child the first time he dressed as a girl. His older sisters, Judy and Jaqueline “Jackie” enjoyed dressing him up. The second time was Halloween 1978 when his daughter asked him to dress as Raggedy Ann. Even though he made an unfortunate looking woman, those experiences made him appreciate the plight of the modern woman.
Don studied at University of Memphis, but instead of a degree, he met the love of his life, mother of his child, and a saint, Suzanne Walk. They were married 52 years when she passed in January 2023.
He loved sports and like a savant, could recite the over/under on any football game. When asked "what's the best day of your life?" it wasn't his wedding day or daughter's birth, it was 11/9/1996 when the Memphis Tigers beat TN Vols in Football.
As an adult, Don would grind 3-4 hours a day in sales. He was a generous man who never met a bar that he did not like or a vodka he didn't love. He always thought of his closest friends as family.
Don's parents, Jack and Helen “Flo” Ingram as well as his sister, Judy, Jackie and Beverly preceded him in death.
Don leaves to cherish his memories, daughter, Jennifer Ingram, his 8-year-old dog, Bonnie Blue, along with multiple nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Sadly, Jennifer refused to have children, so the name stops here.
Celebration of Life for Don will be held on Sunday, November 5,2023 from 2p-4:00pm at Sammy B's (705 Cadet Ct, Lebanon, TN 37087).
Please keep the Ingram Family in your thoughts and prayers.
