Jesse T. Ward, Jr., age 91, of Athens, GA passed April 3, 2025.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, April 12, 2025, 12:00 PM, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 1931 Old West Broad St., Athens, GA, with interment in East Lawn Cemetery.
Viewing will be held, Friday 2-6 PM, at the funeral home.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Patsy Ward; his last sibling brother, William Clinton Ward; his loving children, Gloria J. Ward, Thomas Reginald Ward, Kenneth Wayne Ward, Tahisha Yalandra Ward, Derek Ward, Sharon Ward, Kimberly Gloer and Bernard Powers; his grandchildren, Robert, Samya, Jovienne, Dwayne, Wayne, Darian, Zikeen, Tanasha, Oshea, Elijah, Denzell, Kendra and Denitra Ward, Xavier Huggins, Kyara Taylor, Tyara Powers, Kaavione Gaskins, Kimmie Powers, Steffanii Lockwood, Aidyn Otero and Cassandra Ward Fabian; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother and sisters in law, Alex and Tina Crawford, Willie Clark, Leroy and Sally Stevens, Catherine Smith, Linda Williams, Annie Johnson and Renee Moon; sons in law, Harold A Trouit and Antoine Glover; daughters in law, Cassandra Powers and Mallery Ward Fabian; a very special Goddaughter, Octavia “TaiTai” Glenn and a very special Godson, Maurice Oglesby.
