George D. Clark, Jr., 94, a lifelong resident of Memphis, TN but since August 2015, a resident of Athens, Georgia passed peacefully on December 18, 2020.
A private funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at The Chapel of Jackson-McWhorter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Public viewing, Tuesday 2-6 PM, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Live Streamed at www.jacksonmcwhorterfuneralhome.com. George is survived by his devoted wife; Vera Stephens Clark; loving daughter and son-in law, Natalie Clark Lett and Rev. Benjamin E.V. Lett of Athens; an adoring granddaughter, Natalie Christina Lett, of Peachtree Corners, GA, a grandson-of-the-heart, Julius Paul Thomas of Atlanta, GA, two nieces who are more like daughters, Brenda Lester Joyner and Emily Lester Johnson of Memphis, other special nieces and nephews, and a caretaker like no other, Lorraine Faulkner of Athens.
