I was deeply saddened to learn of Dr. Davis' passing. Katheryn, as we served together on the Clarke Co. School District's citizens' committed, I remain impressed by your constructive, sensible, and grounded approach to the projects and issues before the committee. I was in awe of your devotion to your family, and I know you put Dr. Davis' needs first. You tended to him unfailingly. Now, I know both of you possessed the same sterling character which put service to family and community first. Clearly, these values were instilled in your children. He was Dr. John Davis to everyone but, to me he was "Daddy." Words can not express how hard it is to lose my father. I am comforted and find joy during this difficult time knowing that he is in heaven either telling Moses what he could of done differently or some where cooking something.
