1960 – 2024 - Mr. Bobby Charles Stallings, Jr, was born in Athens, Georga on May 15,
1960, the son of Mrs. Annie Pearl Dodley and Mr. Bobby Charles Stallings, Sr. He was
called to eternal rest on Thursday, February 1, 2024, comforted by his loving husband,
Darrel Boatright. He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandmother.
Bobby Stallings, Jr. received his formal education in the Athens-Clarke County school
system and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration in 1982.
Bobby Stallings, Jr. was employed with Bellsouth Telephone in their mobility subsidiary
Cingular until his stroke on September 11, 2003 and remained on Long Term Disability
up until his passing.
Bobby Stallings, Jr. leaves behind to cherish his memories a loving and devoted
husband, Darrel Boatright of Augusta, Georgia; two cousins, Angela Dodley of Athens,
Georgia and Marilyn Sims Moss, or Lithonia, Georgia; an aunt Miss Marie Sims.
Funeral Services will be held at noon Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Chapel of
Jackson-McWhorter Funeral Home with interment in Evergreen Memorial Park. Public
viewing, Wednesday from 1 – 6 at the funeral home.

Bobby was loved by many of his classmates at Clarke Central High School. He was a gentle and kind soul and will live on in our hearts forever.
We became fast friends the moment we met, and you shared that sweet smile at UGA Freshman Orientation, June 1978! Your friendship is one I treasure for always.
