Reginald D. Hodges
Reginald D. Hodges, 55, of Tampa, FL, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025. A beloved husband, brother, and friend, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Reginald was born and raised in Tampa, FL. He was a star football player and he graduated from Tampa Bay Tech High School in 1987. After high school, he attended Fort Valley State University in Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Reginald was a proud member of Alpha Phi Omega.
In the early years of his career, Reginald served as a Correctional Officer at the Hillsborough County Juvenile Detention Center and later worked as an educator at the Tampa Marine Institute. Most recently, he was a skilled SAW operator at Reliatex Inc., before taking medical leave.
Reggie had a deep love for football and often found cheering for his favorite team or spending time with his close friends. He was also a karaoke enthusiast, always ready to sing his heart out with family and loved ones. Known for his warm heart, infectious charisma, and knack for making others laugh, Reggie brought joy to everyone he met. He leaves behind a lasting legacyof kindness, laughter, and an unwavering love for those he held dear.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheila King.
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife: Erika Clark-Hodges; His father: Julius Hodges (Cynthia); Sisters: Aundrekia Williams (Frank), Chantal King, Sharron Smith, Helen Hodges, Joyce Hodges, Renee Hodges, Kelli Mbacke (Abdou “Djily” Khadre), Keela Hodges, Raven Hodges (Darrius Dennis); Brothers: Milton Lane (Kenya), Laird Greaux (Tracy McClain), Ronald Heard (Danyalle Miles); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of Reginald’s life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Integrity Funeral Services, located at 3822 East 7th Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605. Visitation will be on Friday, February 7, 2025 6-8 p.m. at Integrity.
