A Celebration of Life in loving memory of Mr. James Russell Watts will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Military Honors at Faith Temple M.B. Church, 2916 Orient Road, Tampa 33619, Rev. Dr. Joe S. Hardie, Pastor with Rev. Randolph Haynes III, eulogist. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
James Russell Watts was born, December 20, 1949 to Mabel Cato and James Watts Sr. Born here in Tampa FL. Then was moved out to Texas with his family and back here.
James joined the Air Force and served from 1972 – 1975. He was discharged and came back home to Tampa, Fl. James retired from James A. Haley veterans hospital after 29 years in the dietary department. On February 5, 2025 he entered his eternal rest.
He is survived by his children Polar R. Watts, Sven R. Watts (Jerry), Vokashea Watts Schweitzer, (Badinter Schweitzer), Issac James Watts (Taneice), Marlon D. Jones,Grand kids: Tiffany, Myesha, Marlon Jr, Cyenna, Logan, Dyamond, Neriah, Isaar Jr, Inell, Tamiya, Tyree, Davion, Siblings: He is survived by his siblings Charles Watts, Lee Allen Pore, Antoinette Pore Hudson, a host of loving nieces, Ninya, Jonae, Pamela, Regina, a host of loving nephews, David, Joey, Ross, a host of others. Surviving uncle Rev. Randolph Haynes III a host of cousins Deborah Gano, Brendolyn Cato-Gatling, Rawn and Rico Haynes, Randria Haynes a host of family and friends from Tampa, Orlando, Leesburg, Clearwater, Georgia, Alabama, and Texas, very dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 6-8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Services.
