A Graveside Service Celebrating the Life of Mr. Calvin Ceasar Baldwin Jr. will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 2:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, South Side, 4615 E. Idlewild Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610 with Rev. Isaac Ruffin, Officiating. Calvin Ceasar Baldwin Jr. affectionately known as “Gizz” was born on December 6, 1953 in Tampa, Florida to the late Calvin C. Baldwin Sr. and the late Bridie Pearl Burston. Gizz attended Hillsborough County schools. Later on he met and fell in love with E. Deloise Bowers and they had three children. During the late 70’s and 80’s. He prided himself as being “The Carpet Man” and “Junk Man”. He was also a gifted drummer and mechanic. If you had something that needed to be fixed, Gizz would find a way, may not be the best way but the job will get done. Gizz loved being social with family and friends; listening to Earth, Wind and Fire with a deck of cards in one and and a “cold one” in the other. To know him was to love him. “Love Is In The Air” Gizz was preceded in death by Sisters: Kathyrn “Sue” Baldwin and Rosetta “Rose” Smith, Son- Calvin Demond Baldwin, Daughter Xaviera Dolores Bowers and Granddaughter Tyronda S. Sampson. Gizz leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories a loving and devoted daughter Shametriss “Mimi” Baldwin, Sons: Zantwann C. Baldwin, Zerrick J. Porter and Zavaughnte L. Porter. Grandchildren: Kelvin Sampson, TraVaughn Sampson, Devin Sampson, Zantwann C. Baldwin Jr., Rhoman X. Baldwin, Cameron X. Baldwin, ZyReke Baldwin and 9 Great Grandchildren all of Tampa, FL. Brother- Alfonzo Walker of New Jersey, Uncle Richard (Juanita) Burston and family, special friends Jameisha “Jay” Scott, Monica Cowart and family, Darren “D” Williams, family from Pensacola and Georgia and a host of other sorrowing family, loved ones and friends. Visitation on Friday, January 13, 2023 6-8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Services, 3822 E. 7 th Avenue, Tampa 33605.
