Mrs. Annie Ruth Dooley
The Homegoing Service Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Annie Ruth Dooley will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Faith Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 2916 Orient Road, Tampa, Florida, Rev. Dr. Joe S. Hardie, Pastor, with Trial Bishop Tommy Phillips, her nephew, Pastor of The House of God Church, Perrine, Florida, eulogist. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Mrs. Annie Ruth Dooley was born March 27, 1933, in Woodbury, Georgia to the late Jimmy Buchanan and Mary Lizzie Bryant. She was educated in the Meriwether County, Georgia public schools. She was baptized at an early age in Woodbury at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. On December 27, 1959, she married Turner Dooley who preceded her in death and later in life she joined Faith Temple Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Eric Campbell.
She departed this life to take her eternal rest on Thursday, June 29, 2023, leaving to cherish her fondest memories, 3 Daughters and 1 Son: a loving, devoted, caring and sweet baby girl who was her caretaker for 41 years Arlecia Jones, Jeffery Ann Campbell, both of Tampa FL, Audrey Smith of Orlando FL and a devoted Deacon Alfred Rush Jr. (Brenda) Tampa FL; Step-Son: Ben Smith of Riverview FL; Step-Daughters: Terrilyn Jaundoo (James) Baltimore MD, and Dalphne Steven (Shola) Land O’Lakes, FL; Sister-in-Law: Essie Mae Dooley Tampa FL; 5 Grandchildren: Yolanda Rush, Emmanuel Bellamy, Keyira Gilbert (Demetrius) Alfred Rush III (Linda) and Mary Jones (Charles); 10 Great-Grandchildren: Arie, Arroya, Alfred Rush IV, Jasmine Ford, Carrissa Jones, Charles Jones III, Chole Jones and Casyn Jones; 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Emayan and Armani Kelly; 4 Nieces: Helen Miller, Georgia Mae McCombs both of Atlanta GA, Gail Bryant (Lionel) Houston TX, and Denise Phillips (Trial Bishop Tommy) Miami FL; 4 Nephews: Charles Slaton, Alvin Slaton (Geana), Eric Slaton (Rouxanne) all of Atlanta, GA, and Gary Slaton (Temiera) Miami FL; Great-Nephew: Caesar Auston; A very Special Cousin: Brenda Bryant of Tampa Fl; Care giver and Nurse of 23 years: Elizabeth Belmonte; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends during the visitation of Mrs. Annie Ruth Dooley on Friday, July 7, 2023, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Services, 3822 E. 7th Avenue, Tampa FL.
