Such a gentleman and always a good conversation. Robert will truly be missed. So sorry for your lost Emma, and a lost to us all.
Robert and I were Managers at Bankers Trust/Deutsche Bank in NY. We sat across from each other, and he always show the positive in any situation. During daily conversations it would always turn to some jazz/blues person. I remember one day I was playing a tune from Nancy Wilson and Bob started snapping his fingers and getting into the groove. Shortly after, I gave him a CD of her and a picture. Bob was a wonderful workmate and friend and I wish the family my deepest condolences. God Bless -

The friendship between Robert and I go back to our childhood. His friendship is something that I cherished even more after he moved back to Rocky Mount from New York. I have lost a great friend and will surely miss him. However, I am glad for him that his long-term suffering is now over, and that he is at peace with his Lord. I will continue to keep Emma, his guardian angel, in prayer. Peace to both the spirit of Robert, and to you Emma. Henry Williams

My deepest condolences to the family of Robert and to his close companion Emma. I met Robert during his support of his cousin David Robert was very wise and compassionate person. He was to me dedicated to God and strived to do the Will of God. I lost contact with him during his past illness but the last testimony of how the Lord delivered him from a car accident and how he came out unharmed. He was positive minded and very practical in his thinking. May his family find comfort during this time and allow every memory bring them healing. Blessings, April Turner from the Boston area
