I met Johnnie on Fairview Rd. shortly after Christmas 1992, my family and I had just moved to NC Christmas Day from California. My son was 8 years old them and Johnnie and his nephew were in front of the school and his nephew was driving a little mororiz car. My son could barely walk for watching the young man in his little car. Johnnie asked my son if he would like to drive it, he said yes and Arie' drove. Not knowing anyone at the time just singed off that this was a good move. I would always see Johnnie in front of the house and I would always make him remember that day. I was always so grateful to him for his kindness. RIP JOHNNIE you will always be remembered for that day.

Johnie stood out in the Recreational League for Abbott Labs when they played Consolidated Diesel Company. I enjoyed him and his family at the annual Carolina Stallions Christmas Event.He was the life of the party.
