What a wonderfully, kindhearted talented soul Bob Tapp was. I have his jazz CD redition, and boy-oh-boy, it's right. His guitar playing was unique to a style of his own. We go back to the Jammin Jammers' days when I was the lead singer after Annabell Caesar. My latest encounter was Father's day at Rose Manor when I went to minister, and saw him there. We had a time. God has called a talented musician to play in the heavenly band. Take your rest my friend. Condolences to his family.
Tapp as fondly called. Always the same with that quiet smile, kind and gentle soul. He always thought it was so funny when I took saxophone lessons under Dr.Joe Mitchell. I have many fond memories of him playing with MasterTraxx.
Bob has been my life long friend since 1968. I owned the Rendezvous Club in Chapel Hill and he played in the "house band" there at that time. He was a fantastic guitar player and a wonderful, gentle human being. Due to his health issues we lost Bob, the person we knew and loved, some time back. Now his body has left us. Our sincere condolences go to his family and friends. He will be missed but never forgotten. We play his CD almost daily. Sincerely, Doc & Nicki Hamm, Wilmington, NC
