I miss you ma so much I love you
Ms. Garrett was a wonderful friend to my grandmother Eva Keith. They forged a life long friendship when they met while working at Y.E. Smith. For many years, they met once a month for lunch at Ruby Tuesday. She always looked forward to getting together with Ms. Garett and they would spend hours just talking. My condolences to the family on their loss. My family is thinking and praying for you. My hope is you take comfort in knowing how many people Ms. Garett touched. My grandmother would like to offer the family her condolences. She will greatly miss her beloved friend.
I remember Ms. Garrett for taking care of my son Darius cause he cried about everyday in her Pre-K class but he took to her.
My condolences goes out to the Garret family. Linda was a very kind and compassionate person who gave of her time at Mount Vernon Baptist Church to help with our Wednesday Night Bible Study for the youth. May God comfort your hearts and give you His peace that passes all understanding. Rev. Christa Herndon Women's Ministry Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church
To the Family, it is with my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your Mother, Grandmother and friend. She was one of the first people that I met, who welcomed me to the After school program at Y. E. Smith School. We became very good friends and remained friends until we both relocated to other cities. I enjoyed working with her and it was a pleasure knowing , her and her daughter Monique. I called her Portee, she was a very kind and loving person that loved her family. Rest my sister. To the family I pray for that peace that will surpass all understanding.
Linda, she was my mother, my mentor, my caregiver, and most of all my friend. She allowed me to be apart of her family just like Monique and Larry. Words cannot express the loss that I feel right now. I will always her her and will never forget the things that she has taught me. When the tears stop flowing I will be able to think of you and smile again. Love you always
