We met Ms. Deborah and Mr. Matt (such a loving couple) at the Herald Sun, where we all worked together, and moved in our homes, in the same neighborhood. Ms. Deborah was such a loving, caring person who ALWAYS looked out for others. We will miss her and her BEAUTIFUL smile that would ALWAYS brighten anyone's day. I am heart-broken to hear of the passing of Deb. Deb was the first person and friend I met when I moved to Durham in 1979. We lived across the street from each other on Duke Street. Deborah Smith was my very best friend in the entire world. We always said we were sisters. We laughed together...we cried together. I will never have another friend like her.
