Obituary For Travis Demond Vickerstaff

Funeral services for Travis Vickerstaff, 26, of Auburn, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2023, at New Spirit Missionary Baptist Church, 3302 Dale Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801 with interment in Westview Cemetery, 700 Westview Drive, Auburn, AL, 36830, Reverend Tyrone Edwards will officiate.

Mr. Vickerstaff, who passed away Friday, June 9, 2023 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born June 21, 1996 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, June 16, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Vickerstaff will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

Travis was a James Madison High School Class of 2014 graduate. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid “War Eagle” football fan. When he wasn’t fishing or watching football, he was enjoying his time with family, especially his children.

He leaves to cherish his memory: five children, Zau’Kiyah Vickerstaff, Elliyah Vickerstaff, Amoree Vickerstaff, Skylah Vickerstaff and Trinity Vickerstaff all of Auburn, AL; mother, Lattisha Vickerstaff of Auburn, AL; father, Ry of Auburn, AL; grandparents, Jimmy and Linda Vickerstaff of Auburn, AL; three sisters, Kamia Glaze, Sherell Melton and Shunda Johnson all of Auburn, AL; two brothers, Trey Echols and Zachary Samual both of Auburn, AL; girlfriend, Sharonda Pitts of Auburn, AL; two step-children, Dakeriah Oliver and Dashaun Oliver both of Auburn, AL; two aunts, Maxine (Walter) Collier and Shirley (David) Vickerstaff both of Auburn, AL; five uncles, Mark (Chiquita) Vickerstaff, Timmy Vickerstaff, Jimmy Vickerstaff, Francis (Katrina) West and Derrick Gentry all of Auburn, AL; five cousins as sisters, Courtney Russell, Alexis Russell, Keyarra Russell, Ashley Vickerstaff and Amberley Finley all of Auburn, AL; six cousins as brothers, Demarcus Vickerstaff, David Finley, Daniel Vickerstaff, Marquise Smith, Quay Smith, and Jimmy Vickerstaff III all of Auburn, AL; best friend, Darren Yancey of Auburn, AL; a host of other relatives and friends.
