Graduating from Beauregard High School in 1987 and his love for sports and spending time with family and friends show how much he valued those close to him.
Tony Dawson, who passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born July 18, 1968, in Lee County, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: wife, Stephani Dawson of Opelika, AL; five children, Marquavous Dawson, Demarcus Dawson, Jasmine Robinson, Keisha (LaBrandon) Preston all of Opelika, AL and Miles Buckley of Loachapoka. AL; twelve grandchildren; three brothers, Larry Charles (Kitzi) Dawson, Donald (Jennifer) Dawson both of Opelika, AL and Aaron (Sherry) Dawson of Stone Crest, GA; four uncles, Joe Lewis Thomas, James Thomas, Mitchell Thomas and Terry Thomas all of Opelika, AL; four aunts, Sarah Farmer, Jeanette (Bruce) Surratt, Arnette (Leon) Tyner all of Opelika, AL and Annie Adkins of Salem, AL; one sister-in-law, Annette Dawson of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marvin was one of my students when I taught at Sanford Middle School. He was a wonderfully, mischievous fellow who never gave me any problems. So sorry to hear of his passing. Praying for the family. Angela Debrow-Alexander
