Funeral service for Shannon Coleman, 41, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 908 Hughley Road, Opelika, AL 36804, Reverend Quincey Dorsey, Pastor and Officiating, Bishop Shelton Torbert, Eulogist.
Mr. Coleman, who passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, GA, was born August 19, 1980 in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, June 17, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).
He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Shambria Coleman of Salem, AL and Mykira Reese; mother, Bernice Coleman of Smiths Station, AL, three sisters, Shaundrecia Coleman, Shanteria Coleman and Shanice Coleman all of Smiths Station, AL; seven aunts, Helen Coleman of Syracuse, NY, Mary Peer of Smiths Station, AL, Mae (James) Singleton of Opelika, AL and Rose (John) Griffin of Milledgeville, GA, Zeoila Reynolds of Atlanta, GA, Leila Mae Eiland of Avon Park, FL and Doris Horne of Mobile, AL; five uncles, Samuel (Tina) Coleman, Quinton (Teresa) Coleman both of Syracuse, NY, Winford (Maria) Coleman of Tampa, FL, Lewis Nelson and Robert Nelson both of Avon Park, FL; two nieces, Aubrey Stafford and Abbie Gail Godwin; one nephew, Austin Godwin; four special cousins, Demetrius Coleman, Lekia Coleman, JJ Adkins and Joclegn Patterson; second mother, Arlene Reese; close friends from under the tree Sweet city, Jeff Reese, Tasha Paradise, Vent Reese, Quintez Reed, Joe Reed, Rico Billingsley, Champ Billingsley, Cantrell Williams, Jamal Aikens, Man Tables, Travis Tables, and Alexis Harper; host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
