Funeral service for Sarah Oliver, 95, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 650 Jeter Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801 with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Reverend Clifford E. Jones will officiate.
Mrs. Oliver, who passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, was born March 6, 1928 in Chambers County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Monday, June 19, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. β 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required)
Mrs. Oliver will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two daughters, Sandra Oliver and Priscilla Oliver, PhD, both of Atlanta, GA; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Moore Oliver of Atlanta, GA; three grandsons, Brian Timothy Oliver, MD of Clear Lake, TX, Phillip James Oliver III and Angelo A. βTonyβ Andrews both Atlanta, GA; three special neighbors, Sylvester (Boogie) Brooks, Hattie Mae Edwards, and Mittie Carlisle all of Opelika, AL; a special friend, Sister Bedell Weathers of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters and brothers in the Lord.
