Nathaniel "Nate" Jones

My condolences for the Jones family. May the God of all comfort who comforts us in all our darkest time comforts all of you. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 [Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those in any sort of tribulation through the comfort with which we ourselves are being comforted by God.]

Our loving God Jehovah Promise that we will see our dead love ones again! Imagine the joy of seeing Nathaniel Jones again who have fallen asleep in death come back to life! What an amazing time it will be! This will be accomplish through the resurrection. John 5: 28, 29

Mr. Nate was a joy to be around here at the Vet School. He always greeted you with a smile and a hello. He was one the sweetest and kindest person I have known. He was truly one of a kind and had such a huge impact on many here. My thoughts are prayers are with you. Erin Robbins

Nate was an inspiration to all of us at the Large Animal Clinic. He was a kind, humble, hard-working Christian man and I considered him my friend. He always had lunches that smelled so good! If I remember correctly, he said that he did all that cooking himself. I've been retired from the vet school for almost eight years now but I remember Nate so fondly. I know you will miss him, but the most important fact is he's with the King now in Heaven. We will see him again! I loved the video, the music and photos of family members. He talked of his family a lot and I could tell that he loved you all dearly. What a legacy he has left for all of you and also for all of us who knew him. I'm so thankful for my friendship with him. Mr. Nate was the hardest working gentleman I have ever known. He was always on the move but also ready to open a door or say good morning to anyone coming through his part of the building. I have missed him since his retirement and I pray that the LORD will give all who loved him strength and peace as we grieve. ~Shelly

Mr. Nate was my favorite person at the College of Veterinary Medicine. He was always so generous with his time and smiles and hugs (before COVID!). His sweet demeanor had such an impact on all of us. He gave willingly and smiled constantly. He is dearly missed. Thank you for sharing your father, brother, grandfather and friend with us. Mr. Nate impacted so many of us at the College of Veterinary Medicine. He was a bright spot to my mornings with his smile and kind hello. We all knew his name and he was a part of our work family.

He was such an example in the way he worked; always working and always with excellence. We could all take a lesson from that! "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." Colossians 3:23

Nate was a good friend to all the large animal pharmacy staff for years.Then he moved over to the student center and we went to visit him there while he was continuing to leave his professional and kind manner. We too was so happy he was recognized with a CVM award. We shared tips for gardening and talked about his love for his family. God bless his family and his goodness was seen by all. We will miss his kindness and fellowship Sue Duran

Mr. Nate was such a light as he happily kept our buildings clean at AUCVM. He always offered a hello and a smile and went above and beyond his janitorial duties. He was more than a friend, he was part of the AU family, and is missed. He took pride in his job and we all knew who he was. Many housekeeping workers come and go and rarely do we know their names or even their faces but that was not the case with Mr. Nate! I was happy to be present when he received a prestigious AUCVM staff award- despite being an outside contractor (GCA worker), it goes to show you that all at AUCVM recognized him as part of our team and appreciated him for his work ethic, positivity, and dedication to keeping our facilities clean and tidy. May he rest in peace and may his family rest knowing that Mr. Nate impacted more people than he knew.
