Graveside service for Lois Mitchell, 61, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801, Bishop A.L. Dowdell will officiate.
Mrs. Mitchell, who passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born March 16, 1961 in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, November 4, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).
She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Patricia Latrice Mitchell of Opelika, AL, James Antron Mitchell of Auburn, AL and Tiffany Catney of Loachapoka, AL; seven grandchildren, Tamara Latrice Mitchell, Ieshia Lashawn Mitchell, Alexus Lasha Mitchell, Jaxon Ace Mitchell, Jamarcus Kirk, Jamarion Kirk and Jamarionna Kirk; five grandchildren, Taiden Armoni Barnes, Royan Jace Barnes, Noah Raphael Barnes, Zion Amire Thomas and Kemari Devon Walton; four sisters, Barbara Ann (Douglas) Jordan, Christine Mitchell, Lillie Dowdell all of Opelika, AL and Gloria Lynn Howard of LaGrange, GA; four brothers, Preston Mitchell, Jr. of Covington, GA, Jesse Lee Dowdell, Larry Dowdell and Jeffrey Sanford all of Opelika, AL; two godchildren, Tiffany Lashawn Oliver and Ladarius Chatmon; one great god-grandchild, Payton Greer; seven nieces, Tanala Rowell, Tyanna (Kelvin) Edwards, Jaquetta Ferguson, Anquineik Mitchell, Roncee Lynn Bush, Beyonce Durr and Mariah Durr; five nephews, Preston Mitchell, Jr.,Shautavis Jacques Mitchell, Jarvis Davis, Ronderick Davis and Deon Mitchell; special friends, Patricia Fergerson, Patricia Pinkard, Tara Morgan and The Chatmon Family; a host of cousins and friends.
