Funeral service for Mary Catherine McKissic, 75, of Dothan, AL will be at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, January 18, 2023, Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church, 406 Patterson Street, Dothan, AL 36303, with interment in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 2106 Starling Rd, Dothan, AL 36303, Reverend Paul Horn, Eulogist and Officiant.
Mrs. McKissic departed this earthly life Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at her home in Dothan, Alabama, surrounded by family. She was born May 30, 1947, in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Public viewing will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 4:00 β 6:00 p.m. at Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. McKissic will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
Precious memories will be forever cherished by: husband of fifty-six years, Reverend Harold A. McKissic, Sr. of Dothan, AL; three children, Harold A. (Cynthia) McKissic, Jr., Reverend Scott (Keisha) McKissic and William (Rochelle) McKissic of Dothan, AL; twelve grandchildren, Scott (Quamieka) Holmes of Hinesville, GA, James Boatwright of Dothan, AL, Kierra Snell of Atlanta, GA, Cameron (Shaniqua) Iverson of Dothan, AL, Brannon McKissic of Auburn, AL, Braxton McKissic of Dothan, AL, Bria McKissic of Auburn, AL, Arianna Pope, and Tobias Pope of Midland City, AL, Josiah Owens, Harold Jae McKissic and Anna Grace McKissic of Dothan, AL; thirteen great- grandchildren; two brothers, Leamon (Shirley) Scott and John Scott of New Brunswick, New Jersey; one sister-in-law, Teresa McKissic Smith of Dothan, AL, one brother-in-law, James R. Adams of Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; a special family member, Geraldine McElroy; four forever friends, Mary Lou Hayes, Mary Floyd, Sandra Edge and Yvette Dawson.
