Obituary For Jailyn Marcia "Jai Bird " Peters

Funeral service for Jailyn Peters, 21, of Auburn, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, 4881 US Highway 29 North, Auburn, AL 36830 with interment in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 2255 Wrights Mill Road, Auburn, AL 36830, Pastor Thomas Brown, Officiating and Reverend Chester Levett, Eulogist. (Facial covering is required).

Ms. Peters, who passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born August 7, 2001 in Montgomery County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, January 13, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).

Ms. Peters will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaved to cherish her memory: parents, Thomas “Marc” (Kristi) Peters of Montgomery, AL and Joslyn “Nikki” Peters (Allen Knight) of Auburn, AL; a devoted fur baby, Karma Jean; one sister, Megan (Travion) Spell of Chelsea, AL; paternal grandparents, Thomas, Sr. and Phyllis Peters of Opelika, AL; maternal grandparents, Boss and Marion Oliver of Auburn, AL; great grandmother, Sarah Mills of Opelika, AL; two devoted aunts, Carlotta Reese of Auburn, AL and Jacqueline (Melvin) Dankins of Atlanta, GA; two aunts, Dr. Mosha (Courtney) Peters-Harris of Colleyville, TX and Nickie Woodall Turner of Atlanta, GA; three uncles, James “Woody” Woodall, Tim Finley both of Auburn, AL and Albert (Katie) Finley, Jr. of Harvest, AL; a devoted great aunt, Yvonne (John) Yancy of Atlanta, GA; two nephews, Travion Spell, Jr. and Tyler Spell; three special cousins, Tiambra Dinkins, Courtnee Harris and Corinn Harris; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
