Funeral service for Eddie McCormick, 68, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Oak Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3889 Burt Mill Road, Tallassee, AL, 36078, Bishop Kenneth Carter will officiate. Facial covering is required)
Mr. McCormick, who passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at his home in Opelika, AL, was born August 12, 1954 in Elmore County, AL.
Public viewing will be Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required)
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: wife, Melinda McCormick; four children, Quintavis (Willie) Davis, Tiffany McCormick, Jessica McCormick and Colby McCormick all of Opelika, Alabama; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters; Ocie Pearl Purter, Martha Matthews, Vanessa Lewis all of Tallassee, AL and Beverlyn (Gerald) Leonard of Huntsville, AL; one brother, Wallace (Shirley) McCormick of Huntsville, AL; mother-in-law, Grace Logan, Opelika, AL; four brothers-in-law, Tony Moss, Willie (Robin) Moss both of Opelika, AL; Sam (Shelia) Hooks of Salem, AL and Steve (Ada) Moss of Tallassee, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
My sincerest condolences to The McCormick family, I am deeply sorry for your loss, Eddie Lee will be missed by all that knew and loved him. He was definitely a light to our eyes. Take your Rest Eddie Lee. Gone but not forgotten.
