Obituary For Eddie Charles Lockhart

Funeral service for Eddie Lockhart, 69, of Auburn, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Mt. Traveler Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 1229 S Dawson Avenue, Waverly, AL, 36879, Pastor David Heard will officiate.

Mr. Lockhart, who passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama, was born February 13, 1954 in, Tallapoosa County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, December 1, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Lamettress Lashun (Aaron) Fields, two sons, Tydious Lockhart and Bradley Lockhart all of Opelika, AL; six grandchildren, Terrance Presley, Trekorius Purter, Quanisha Lockhart, Jahwann Fields, Brandon Lockhart and Brooklyn Lockhart; one great-grandchild, Truitt Presley; four siblings, Carrie Lockhart Carlise, Robert Lockhart, Jr., Timothy Lamark (LaChandra) Lockhart all of Waverly, AL and James (Lottie) Lockhart of Opelika, AL; special friend, Mariyln D. Winsley. He will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others who shared a special part of his life.
