Obituary For Conswella Victoria Dowdell

Funeral service for Conswella Dowdell, 53, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Eric Dowdell will officiate.

Ms. Dowdell, who passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama was born October 12, 1970 in Lee County, Alabama.

Conswella was a member of the Opelika High School Class of 1989. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, always there for anyone in need and had a caring and generous spirit. Conswella was an avid Alabama “Roll Tide” fan.

Public viewing will be Friday, April 19, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

She leaves to cherish her memory: seven children, Zoe Dowdell (Dontavious Brooks) of Bloomington, MN, Jalen Carlisle, Katelyn Harris, Kayla Harris (Jamius) Mitchell all of Opelika, AL, Kyle Dowdell of Houston, TX, Dominique Heard and Denzel Heard both of Loachapoka, AL; one granddaughter, Railey Marie Carlisle; two sisters, Mattie Dickerson- Echols of Opelika, AL and Twanda Dowdell (Fabian) Hooks of Woodstock, GA; two brothers, Ozzie D Gibson of Opelika, AL and J.W. Gibson of Lafayette, AL; one aunt, Queen E. Pollard of Opelika, AL; four special nieces, Chapral Echols (Ronnie) Vaughn, Telania "Lady Bug" Echols, Dr. Utopia Echols all of Opelika, AL and Destinee Hooks of Woodstock, GA; two very special great nephews, Fasion M (Ra’Chelle) Echols of Katy, TX and Skyler Frazier of Lexington, KY; two special cousins, Dr. Winford Ashmore and Annie Ashmore both of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
