So saddened to hear of Byron's passing. I haven't thought of Byron in decades and he came to mind this past week. I thought about how he used to love to sing with others in High School. Was always a class act and our loss is heavens gain. May God give the family peace and understanding during this time.
I met Byron in 4th grade at Austinville elementary school. I was a skinny, nerdy kid, with glasses, floods a bad haircut and a speech impediment. On the second day of school some other boys were picking on me and Byron came to my defense. I had never met him before but he stood by my side and defended me against three other boys. That tells you all you need to know about Byron and I thank him to this day for his friendship and that kind act.
