Funeral service for Alfred Boyd, 63, of Opelika, AL, will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, 36801, Pastor Maurice Woods will officiate.

Alfred Boyd, who passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born April 5, 1961, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 2:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Alfreda Boyd Carter of Andalusia, AL; five grandchildren, Kameicka Boyd, Necoyea Wells, Jasheunna Sims, Jaqualla Sims and Jayda Sims all of Andalusia, AL; two great-grandchildren, Kiaro Wells and Trey’viunna Cobbins both of Andalusia, AL; parents, Johnnie Mae (Willie Joe) Jones of Opelika, AL; two sisters, Mary Hall of Opelika, AL and Cynthia Calloway of Andalusia, AL; two brothers, Michael Leon Boyd of Opelika, AL and Charlie Boyd, Jr. of Andalusia, AL; five nieces, Morale (Shawn) O’Cain of Atlanta, GA, Jasmine Robinson, Delana Jolly, Diana Boyd and Keanna Grace all of Andalusia, AL; eight nephews, Secdrick (Shun) Holstick and Thaddeus Holstick both of Birmingham, AL, Theon Smith of Opelika, AL, Elijah Golston of Atlanta, GA, Antonio Calloway, Cornelius Calloway, Drew Robinson, Charlie Boyd III all of Andalusia, AL; two uncles, Reverend Dr. Eddie Jones of Florida and Willie (Vickie) Jones of Opelika, AL; a host of other relatives and friends.
