The life of one who has gone before us, the race she has won. Her journey has now ended, her spirit has ascended claiming the great reward With Jesus, our Lord. And he said to her, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise" - Luke 23:13
"If you could see me now, you wouldn't shed a tear. Though you may not understand why I'm no longer there. Remember my spirit that is the real me because I'm still very much alive, I've just been set free, oh, if you could only see! 1 have beheld our Father's face and I've touched my Savior's hand. All of Heaven's angels rejoiced as I entered the Promised Land. Beyond the gates of pearl, I've walked on the golden streets. I've touched the walls of jasper and dipped my foot in the Crystal Sea. The beauty is beyond words, and nothing could compare, I've even seen your mansion and someday T'II meet you there. Let Jesus be your guide because His Word will show you the way! So please don't cry because we will meet again someday."
Mrs. Lucille Moses Jones of Valdosta, Georgia was born on Wednesday, May 19, 1943. She transitioned to a place of NO MORE, No More Pain, No More Suffering, into the arms of a loving God on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Family and friends will gather at a later date, to celebrate a life well lived. Once details have been finalized, they will be announced on behalf of the Jones Family.
To our Leading Lady, you entered this cruel world as a daughter and sister, and quickly transitioned into an Angel that walked this Earth among us.
Your presence was unique. Your spirit was bold, yet disarming; stern yet gentle, powerful, yet healing and compassionate, brave and fearless. You had a way to look into the souls of those that needed you most and pour into them as God saw fit. Whether we were miles or seconds away, you knew how to ease our worry through the most unbearable situations.
We weep for ourselves today, as we remember your smile, your laugh, your words of wisdom, your prayers, your hugs, your stories, your fierceness.
We will continue to honor you and uphold your legacy and teachings. We will take you with us everywhere we go in life, as you did with us in your prayers. While we mourn the loss of you in human form, we smile with delight knowing you will continue to be our Angel in Heaven as you were here on Earth! We Forever Love You.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, April 01, 2023 at 12 Noon from the sanctuary of Greater Pleasant Temple Missionary Baptist Church - 309 Cherry Street, Valdosta Georgia. The Reverend Bernard L. Robinson Sr., is pastor and will officiate.
