When tomorrow starts without me, And I’m not here to see. If the sun should rise and find your eyes Are filled with tears for me, I wish so much you wouldn’t cry. The way you did today, while thinking of the many things We didn’t get to say.
I know how much you love me, as much as I love you. And each time you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too. But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand That an angel came and called my name And took me by the hand. And said my place was ready In Heaven far above, and that I’d have to leave behind All those I dearly love.
But when I walked through Heaven’s gate, I felt so much at home. When God looked down and smiled at me From His great golden throne, He said this is eternity and all I promised you. Today your life on earth is past, but here it starts anew. I promise not tomorrow, For today will always last. And since each day’s the same way, There’s no longing for the past.
So, when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart. For every time you think of me I’m right here in your heart.
Her Family's matriarch, Mrs. Mable Reynolds 78 departed this earthly life on Saturday, July 09, 2022, in the privacy of her home.
She was born on June 13, 1944, to the late Mr. Cephus and Mrs. Birdie Williams in Bristol, Connecticut. After the death of her father at a very young age, she moved to Allendale, South Carolina, the birth home of her mother and grandparents.
Mable attended the public schools in Allendale, and finished her junior year. She met and married Thomas Grant and the two began having children. relocated to Jersey City, New Jersey and later divorced. In NJ. Mable worked for Anchor Glass Container Corporation in Cliffwood for over 20 years while raising her children, and only stopped working when the factory sent her out on permanent disability due to constant lung issues. Mable was a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars, and a proud member of Greater Pleasant Temple Baptist Church.
Nothing in her life gave her more satisfaction, however, than caring for children. After she had raised her own 6 children, she began to offer care to children in the foster care system. Through the years, Mable has cared for dozens of children and eventually adopted 6 of them. Mable had a big heart, and was such a loving woman, that in her later years, she became the primary caregiver to her aging mother, disabled brother, 6 young girls and an additional two great grandchildren. What a remarkable giant this world has lost. Mable loved the Lord, and we know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, so rest on, Mother Mable. Rest on!
Mother Reynolds was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Cephus Williams and Mrs. Birdie Villard Williams Kelly, her brothers, Booker T. "Sonny" Williams, Leon "Nathan" Villard, and John Douglas "Pokey" Williams; her children, Michael A. "Trouble" Grant, Sr., Yamanda Terry Reynolds, and her grandson Kileal A. Floyd.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Gail A. Floyd (Wayne) of Valdosta, GA, Avalon A. Grant (Christine) of Virginia Beach, VA, Daryl L. Grant of Atlanta, GA, Areatha Grant Fryar of Albany, NY, Terria Grant Nesmith of Somerset, NJ, and LaKisha Reynolds Johnson (Andre) of Madison, WI, LaSharia Reynolds of Columbus, GA, Celesttisha Reynolds and Tamika Reynolds of Valdosta, GA and Shaquandra Reynolds of Atlanta, GA; her sister, Lula Mae Williams of Allendale, SC; her grandchildren, Davon Barfield of Atlanta, GA, Michael A. Grant, Jr. (Ivy) and Dezmond Grant of Jersey City, NJ, Avalon Christopher Grant (Amber) of Virginia Beach, VA, Khira Fryar of Syracuse, NY, Maya and Deja Grant of Dallas, TX, and Jeffrey Fryar Jr. of Albany, NY; her great-grandchildren, Iyanna, McKenzie, Landon, Makayila, And Harmony Grant of Valdosta, GA, Malik and Malia of Atlanta, GA, a bonus daughter, TeErica Smith of Waycross, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
Her legacy and life will be honored and remembered by her family, friends and church family on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 11:00 AM from the Greater Pleasant Temple Baptist Church - 309 Cherry Street, Valdosta, GA. Burial will follow in the Pallbearers Cemetery.
