My heartfelt condolences to Ernestines family. I'm sorry to hear of her passing. She had a way of making people feel special and was dedicated to service in the community. I am honored to have worked with her when she served on Committee and Board appointments to the City of Cedartown. Emily Shaw.
There are so many great memories of Ernestine, our neighbor, extended family member and the go-to person with any need. My fondest memory happened in December, 1970. I share with her that I was getting married and desired to host a reception at Friendship Baptist Church on December 26th, she immediately asked what do you need for me to do? Needless to say, she went to work right away planning every aspect, making certain that my wedding reception in the new fellowship hall was perfect. It was beautiful and her touches were apparent throughout the space. She graciously accepted the title of Susan's wedding planner. Ernestine was one of God's angels particularly in the Peppertown and greater Cedartown community. John and I loved her dearly and will keep the memories we shared through the years in our hearts. Rest Well...Mary Ernestine !

Dear Portia and family, Mom, Daddy, Billy and I all loved Earnestine. She was always known to us and we all had so much fun. She shopped in Moms store, I worked with her and as they got older Earnestine and Mom traveled on their bank trips. My daughter, Kendall, said when the bank went to Seattle, She visited them at the airport. Earnestine ran to her for hugs and Kendall said she made her feel important and comfortable. Earnestine had that gift. She will be missed by so many. Love to you all. Cathy White Dohrmann

My heartfelt condolences to the Ellis Family. God saw fit to pluck a very special flower from His earthly garden to plant in His heavenly garden so that it can blossom there. Her smile and kindness to everyone will be sorely missed. It is now time for her to take her rest, as she has finished the course on this side and her mansion is awaiting her there. Love, Eva Gibbs.

Portia and Family, Please accept my sincere condolences in the death of Ernestine. What a special person, who was my good friend and part of my Cedartown Housing Authority family. I have so many fond memories that it would be impossible to list them all! I even have remembrances sitting around in my home from her many trips she made. She always brought me a souvenir and I still see many of them daily. When I read my Bible I sometimes remember what she used to say that has stuck with me. You need to stay "in the Word" to handle our problems of the day. As the Social Worker, she was respected by all her clients when many times no one else could get their respect. I will always remember Ernestine with fondness and appreciation of her friendship.

Such a special person, she was. I always enjoyed being in her presence. I hold lots of fond memories of Ms. Ernestine. She was a dear friend of my mom's and vividly, I remember how she stood at my bedside for comfort until the birth of my daughter of whom she is her godmother.
Moreover, I always enjoyed the times we spent catering weddings and different events because we both enjoyed cooking and the rapport with each other. We always had the best times and enjoyed every moment of it. You were truly a trooper Ms Ellis, and your genuine spirit will live forever in many lives throughout our community.
