Obituary For Robert D. Moyer
On Monday, April 10, 2023, Robert D. “Skida” Moyer, 56, of Fayette St., Martinsville, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life at Blue Ridge Rehab Center, Stuart, VA. Born February 27, 1967, in Martinsville, VA, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Moyer, and the late Elizabeth Hairston Moyer.
Robert attended Laurel Park High School. He was a Custodian for Nelson Automotives for several years.
Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Jessica Moyer of Texas, Bria Pritchett, and Hope Pritchett both of Martinsville, VA; one grandson, Isaiah Pritchett of Martinsville, VA; two sisters, Teressa Aiken, and Shelby Hairston both of Martinsville, VA; five nieces, Paula Aiken, Tamika Aiken, Schedina Aiken, Akiha Aiken, and Latrese Aiken all of Martinsville, VA; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
A visitation service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens, 1310 Carver Rd., Martinsville. A public viewing will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville, between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Other times, the family will be receiving friends at the home of his sister, Teressa Aiken, 1009 B St., Martinsville.
