I grew up with Nell and her sisters on cherry street.We went to school across the street where Mcwork shop was. I will miss her beautiful smile and her goodness to all she meet. Rest on Nell until I see you again. Love you. Gloria Joan Hairston-Finney

I knew Ms. Nell and her husband since I was a little girl. They were so nice and always seemed like a happy couple. Ms. Nell always had a smile on her face. I am sad she has left us but I know she is in a better place looking over her loved ones. Don't crown him (Jesus) Ms. Nell until his children all get there.

To Leon and sons, Nell's sister's, shocked and saddened to learn of her transition. We have been friends since 1969. Spent plenty of time with her and Leon, especially when they lived on Dunlap Street, and Cherry Street. Also at Mrs. Jessie's house in East Martinsville. Nell lived a good life and she was always with Leon. So family you have some fond memories as well as I. Rest on Nell Burnette Martin. You are in God's hands.
