From Dr. Janet Boseovski and Dr. Stuart Marcovitch - Stuart was department head of Psychology for Melanie's last 6 years there and he loved working with her. Especially her laugh.

Melanie was a UNCG hero. Efficient, effective, precice, and gracious - I was proudly her fan! I will always remember her laughter - David Vaughan (Provost's Office, retired)

We met Mel back in the 70's when she came to Boston and stayed with her sister Karen. We became friends quickly, from baking homemade choc chip cookies, shopping and going out to the clubs. Mel was a bridesmaid in my sisters wedding . One summer she took me to Martinsville for a summer vacation trip to meet her Mom and family. When she moved back to Martinsville we kept in touch but after awhile as we grew older our lives drifted apart and we didn't keep in contact that much. I will always remember Mel's sweetness and beautiful smile ❤️ May your family rest knowing heaven has gained another angel . Love and prayers to her family 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️. I last saw Melanie about a year ago at the same Hospice in High Point where she passed away. We talked about our time working at UNCG and I'm reminded how she always brought a ray of sunshine and her beautiful smile and personality no matter the misery we were enduring with paperwork.

I am sad that this wonderful soul is no longer with us, but know for certain heaven has gained a special angel.

Heartfelt condolences to Melanie's family. I had the opportunity to work with Melanie at the UNCG Psychology Department for many years. She was always friendly and smiling, cordially greeting both co-workers and visitors. She did her best to accomplish each of her administrative tasks well. Melanie was always there for us in the Psychology Department, ready to lend a hand. I remember when my daughter was in preschool, and she needed a safety pin for her dress. I knew just who to ask and Melanie saved the day. She always supported us by getting Girl Scout Cookies or laughing at the latest messages. She never took it too seriously. We could always count on her. I will miss you Melanie.

Melanie was always a bright ray of sunshine in the UNCG Psychology Department. Always a professional, I tried for many years to get her to call me Susan, but she always referred to me as Dr. Keane. Her laugh was contagious and her smile was genuine. I appreciated her humor but especially appreciated that she would always laugh at my feeble attempt at a joke. Melanie always made a point to warmly greet anyone who entered her office. And, she was always willing to go out of her way to solve a problem or help out in any way she could. Over the years we chatted about work but also about her love for and pride in her family. Melanie also loved jewelry and handbags and we would always find a minute to share notes about the latest coupon or sale at Macy's. .. she loved a bargain as much as I do. I know she touched the lives of the many facuty and students in the Department who knew her. My deepest condolences to her family. She will be missed. Susan Keane

It's gonna be hard to say goodbye to my little sister Mel as we all called her. She was smart and very funny, a great Mother to her sons Raleigh and Ryan, and a great sister.
