On Thursday, October 26, 2023, Mary Hairston 51, of B St., Martinsville, VA transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Martinsville, VA on July 22, 1972, the daughter of the late Gladys Ann Hairston.
Mary was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Missionary, on the Culinary Committee, and was a member of the Choir. She was disabled. Mary was a graduate of Martinsville High School class of 1992.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Stacey Woods of Martinsville, VA; one sister, Tracy Keen (Bobby) of Martinsville, VA; one granddaughter, Ziah Hairston of Martinsville, VA; aunt, Lillian M. Swanson of Martinsville, VA; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
A visitation service will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville, VA with Dr. Eric Hairston, Eulogist. The burial will be private. A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Other times, the family will be receiving friends at the residence, 903 B St., Martinsville, VA.
