God strengthens us by giving us "the power beyond what is normal" to make it through each passing day. Psalm 46:1 says: "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress." Nahum 1:7; God is "a stronghold in the day of distress. He is mindful of ["takes care of"] of those seeking refuge in him." Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 36:7; 1 Peter 5:7)

To The Carter and Williams Family: It saddled our hearts to hear about the passing of Aunt Purnell. Mom (Tammy - niece) and I (Brittany – great niece) sat down and started to think about how much aunt Purnell touched our lives. I never got a chance to visit Martinsville but every chance I gotten as a child to visit Pop-pop Tony I would make sure that he took me to see her and aunt Myrtle. There was always phone calls and cards to her and from her. She would never forget the birthday of my mom (Tammy) mine and my little brother (William- great-nephew). Mom recalled all the stories and times that she spent with aunt Purnell and Uncle Clyde as a child until her mid-teens when she moved to Philadelphia. Now that I am in my early thirty, I can remember her stories about my mom and her sisters and hear her voice plan as day over the phone telling us that she loved us, and we love her too. We know that she is back with her family her brothers, sister, and parents along with her husband. We are sending our love to our cousins and the rest of the family and friends who cared for and loved Purnell Carter Williams just as much or even more as we did. We wish we could be there alone with Kitty, Clyde Jr, and Louis to give love as well.
Love you all always: Tammy, Brittany and William Carter From Philly.
