Obituary For Jeffery Hayes Giles

Jeffery Hayes Giles, 60, of S. High Street, Eden, North Carolina departed from this life Sunday, May 7, 2023. He was born in Virginia to the late Walter Hayes Giles and Carolyn Hairston Giles on December 3, 1962.

Jeffery graduated from Laurel Park High School and later worked as a logger for many years. He became a faithful member of The Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where he also attended seminary school.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his girlfriend, Tracey Ann Young of Eden, NC; his mother, Carolyn Hairston Giles of Atlanta, GA; three daughters, Onyx Bailey of Blair, VA, Brittany Giles of Archdale, NC, and Grace Giles of Eden, NC; four sons, Marcus Walker of Charlotte, NC; Donovan Gardner of Rocky Mount, NC, Jordan Giles of Ohio, Razeek Giles of Mexico, and Kameron Giles of Eden, NC; stepson, Omar Lopez of Eden, NC; three sisters, Hazel Banks of Riverdale, GA, Tara Gravley of Martinsville, VA, and Kayla Turner of Bassett, VA; four brothers, Leon Giles of Charlotte, NC, Adam Gravley of NC, Tony Beal of Martinsville, VA, and Teddy Giles of Roanoke, VA; three grandchildren; four uncles; two aunts; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will take place at 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home on Monday, May 15, 2023, with Reverend D. Jesie Morris, eulogist. Burial will follow at Giles Family Cemetery, Axton, VA. A public viewing will be held at Hairston Funeral Home on Sunday, May 14, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

You were such a hardworking loving man you helped my mom Tracey Ann young out so much you always took care of them and even though we weren't you're children you loved us as if we were yours, I have never seen my mom as happy as how she was with you, what hurts me the most is that you were never able to meet you're little bean as you would call him, we miss you so much, may your rest in peace we love you so much

It truly has been years and I remember you and my daddy James E. Moyer cutting logs. Coming over to your house when you lived in Axton, VA after you and daddy come in from working all day laughing joking. Had a many fun times truly back at them times and knowing we were family made it even more enjoyable. You showed family love when I was around and everytime I saw you. I truly send my condolences to your mother, siblings, children, grandchildren and the rest of our family along with love, huge hugs. You was always a hard worker now take your rest.
